Learn more about working with me:
-
I provide Sunday worship leadership and preaching, typically in Unitarian Universalist contexts. I am also joyfully available to officiate weddings.
As a communications consultant, I am available to work with you and your organization’s team to triage internal and community communication needs, strategize improvements, and, when requested, draft and execute communications for the organization or congregation.
-
First things first, reach out to me!
Most congregations I work with ask for little collaboration ahead of the service, which is just fine. I always love to understand how your church worships, so if I can find recordings of previous services at your church, I will watch some of them to get a feel for your congregation’s style of worship. I am happy to meet with a member of your leadership or worship team for a 30-minute planning session. If you’d like to meet for longer, it would be considered a service billed at an hourly rate. -
My rates are in line with the Unitarian Universalist Minister Association’s scale of fees for professional services (including travel), available here.
In general, this means:A Sunday sermon or worship service will range from $270-$385, depending on where you are located.
Weddings range in price from $450-$600 with a certain amount required up from at the time we sign a contract. Additional fees may be discussed depending on rehearsal or consultation time.
Communications consulting rates are $150/hour.
I request mileage to be covered at $0.70/mile if traveling more than 50 miles from Nashville.
With all that said, I am open to and encouraging of any bartering or trade that you may have in mind. Let’s not let money get in the way of our mutual flourishing together!
-
Depending on how far in advance we connect, I am typically more than happy to align my visit with your congregation’s planned theme. If you don’t have a theme planned, I can develop something new that meets your needs. It is always helpful to know what other topics are being addressed around the date I’ll be visiting so that I can avoid redundancy. In short, I want to make sure I’m bringing a message that will be engaging and valuable to your congregation.
If you’d like to see examples of recent sermons, you can see them here.

I can be available up to 45 minutes before the service starts. If no time is specified, I will aim to arrive 30 minutes beforehand. I am also available for up to 30 minutes after the service ends. If your service includes a talkback, please let me know ahead of time and let me know if the 30 minutes post-service does not work.

I am always available to join you virtually if that’s what works best!
I am open to traveling outside my region when my schedule permits. All travel and lodging expenses would be covered by the host congregation. Typically, when traveling, I would arrive on Saturday afternoon and depart soon after the Sunday service. I require at least 4 weeks' advance notice if air travel is required.
